Key Corporate Law Points for Irish Aircraft

Appraisals of Boeing 747-8F and Airbus A321-200P2
The latest issue of Jetrader includes appraisals of two aircraft types: Boeing 747-8F and Airbus A321-200P2.
On the 747-8F, ISTAT Certified Senior Appraiser Olga Razzhivina says: “The current slowdown in cargo traffic is likely to affect first the less capable older aircraft, especially those with the higher fuel consumption and converted examples. It may also have a temporary effect on the 747-8F. However, in the long term, its values and lease rates are likely to hold, supported by its unique capabilities, and with a likely 30-year useful life not being an imminent problem.”
On the A321-200P2, ISTAT Certified Senior Appraiser Mike Yeomans says: “While there may be some near-term volatility in demand, IBA expects continued long-term growth in e-commerce. This trend should result in strong demand for dedicated freighters from express operators and e-tailers looking to take greater control of their logistics networks; a positive driver of value for the Airbus A321P2F.”

IAP Spring Exams Held
The IAP held its spring exams at testing centers on 3-4 May. A total of nine Appraiser candidates sat for appraiser certification in Dublin, Hong Kong, London, and the Washington, D.C., area. One ISTAT certified Appraiser sat for the Senior Appraiser certification exam.
IAP at ISTAT Asia
The IAP was represented at ISTAT Asia on the Appraisers panel by moderator Bryson Monteleone, chair of the IBG and Senior Appraiser, along with panelists Olga Razzhivina, vice-chair of the IBG and Senior Appraiser, Amit Tyagi, Senior Appraiser, and Appraisers Dicky Tse and Jian Zhu. In addition, David Yu, Senior Appraiser, moderated "The Economist’s View" panel.
A learning lunch was offered for those interested in learning more about the Appraisers Program — the first of many expected programming highlights, as the IAP looks to increase its presence in Asia.
