MARCH 17: Last day to register for the national convention before the fee increases.

APRIL 1:
  • Deadline for athletics directors to submit their Declaration of Intent, which identifies an institution's list of sponsored sports for 2022-23. Submissions due through NAIAHelp.
  • Students registered for spring 2022 eligibility who are not yet in line for review will have their PlayNAIA applications cancelled.

APRIL 8-12: NAIA National Convention will be held at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center.

NEW: NAIA-ADA Offering Stipends for NAIA and NACDA Conventions

The purpose of the NAIA-ADA convention stipends is to provide assistance to athletics director members to attend the NAIA National Convention on April 13-17 in Kansas City, Missouri and the NACDA Convention on June 26-28 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Six stipends of $500 each will be awarded. Recipients must be current members of NAIA-ADA under NACDA and an AD at an NAIA institution. The deadline to apply is March 16, 2022.

Offering Digital Mental Health Support for Today's College Students
Sunday, April 3, 7 p.m. Central:
One of today’s top student-facing concerns in higher education is mental health. Given the shift to online delivery of student services, institutions are exploring ways to support the efforts of campus counseling centers. Mantra Health representatives will discuss the evolution of mental health delivery and why partnering with digital mental health companies is now an integral part of supporting students. Open to all, with primary audience of: student affairs professionals, counseling center staff, FARs, presidents, ATCs. (ATCs can receive a 1-hour CEU courtesy of USCAH)

The NAIA's winter national championships kicked off last weekend with red banners being awarded in indoor track & field, swimming & diving, and men's wrestling. National title winners include:

NEW: March 2022 PlayNAIA Enhancements

PlayNAIA.org will be unavailable Friday evening, March 11, for an enhancement release. The site is anticipated to be unavailable from 6 - 10 p.m. CT for the deployment. If you encounter problems following the deployment, please be sure to let us know. You can review a list of the enhancements being made through the release notes which are accessible from your Resources page.
NEW: Eligibility Center by the Numbers

The number of students seeking 2021-22 eligibility has drastically diminished in recent weeks so this will be the last EC by the numbers update until fall 2023 peak season begins. 

Spring Peak Numbers as of March 7, 2022
  • 8,627 students are currently in some stage of the eligibility process, with 46,810 total student registrations and 38,183 students who have received a decision.
For the past two weeks:
Decisions for domestic students with a break and transfers
  • Average of 3.07 days business days from their ready date.
  • Working on break/transfer students who became ready on 3/4/2022.
Decisions for international students with a break and transfers
  • Average of 11.69 business days from their ready date.
  • Working on international break/transfer students who became ready on 3/7/2022.
