THE ARIZONA CIVIL ENGINEER
Volume 97 Issue 3 - January
Hello ASCE Arizona Section Members,

Happy New Year! I hope your 2022 is off to a great start. The upcoming year may look a bit uncertain and bleak, but I strongly believe our members and local chapters will continue to adapt and make the most of it.

“Failing to plan is planning to fail” - Alan Lakein

So as we begin a new year take a moment, reflect on the previous year and set some goals to work towards. Celebrate your victories (even the small ones) to continue moving forward those goals.

Update on the BTR item discussed previously: On 1/10/22 ASCE Arizona Section, AZITE and APWA Arizona Chapter worked together to send a letter to Governor Ducey requesting to replace the expired engineering seat on the BTR with a civil engineer. What can you do to help? Email Governor Ducey @ engage@az.gov to tell him to act on the letter we sent. Feel free to attach the letter for their reference. Help us add some pressure!

Wishing you a prosperous year,
