Greetings!
Pastor Josh will be with us for three more Sundays before he starts his new call at New Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Lovettsville, VA. On March 24 the council members will host a special coffee hour in-between the services so that you have an opportunity to greet him and Heather. From 12 pm to 1:30 pm there will be a lunch reception in Fellowship Hall. It will give everyone another chance to wish them well not only with the new call but with the upcoming arrival of their first child. All are welcome! An invitation will go out via email. We will be asking for people to sign-up for the luncheon so we can prepare accordingly.
Sunday, March 10 – Fourth Sunday in Lent
This Lenten season we have spent time studying the psalms. On Sunday we will hear more about Psalm 107, a prayer of thanksgiving for the many ways that God is known in our suffering. Come and worship with us at 8:30 am, 9:45 am, or 11 am. Worship is the work of the people so please consider assisting in any of our services. This Sunday we need a reader and crucifer at the 8:30 am service and a reader at the 9:45 service. Thank you to all who help on Sunday mornings!

Easter Flowers and LWR
In preparation for Easter Sunday, please consider a financial donation as we adorn our worship space with flowers. The requested donation for plants and flowers is $25. You can also make a separate donation to Lutheran World Relief. Checks are to be made out to “Redeemer Lutheran Church” with the memo “Easter Flowers” and/or “LWR.” The deadline for donations is March 24. You can also go to the home page of our website and click on “Easter Flowers.”
Educational Opportunities on Sunday at 9:45 am
Faith Formation, Confirmation, High School, and Table Talk are all in session this Sunday.
Lenten Service on Wednesday – March 13
Please come for dinner at 6:30 pm and worship at 7:30 pm. All are welcome. Here is the link to livestream the Wednesday Lenten Service.
Shredding Event – March 16 (9 am to 12 pm)
A week from tomorrow you can bring any materials that you need shredded to Redeemer Lutheran Church’s parking lot. Lee Cronin’s Real Estate Team will provide the means to securely shred the documents. Please contact Lee at 703-328-6722 or Eric at 703-867-0926 if you are bringing materials so they can determine the right sized truck to bring. There is no charge but all donations will 100% support “Rise Against Hunger.”
