- Graduation Day, ‘tho we ‘loved’ Luther College —and — ‘hated to Leave,’ we had Graduation Day in early June of 1954.
And, I am sure each of you could make your own list of “14 Things” you remember about Luther College and Decorah, Iowa.
Yes, Luther students and faculty are on campus attending classes — and — participating in extra-curricular activities. (music, theatre, and sport activities are “on their normal schedule”).
However, “masks” may be required in buildings and in classrooms. When outdoors, one is free to be “mask free.” Wow!!! There is something we were never required to do/never even thought of: wearing a “mask,” covering our nose and our mouths.
“TIME MARCHES ON”
In closing, I would like to say, “in the Finanger family of 60-of-us, we have 16 Luther College graduates (over ¼ of our family members are Luther College graduates)” …
And, three of our families live in Decorah, so Luther College is often part of our family conversations.
