Mayfest in the works!

Planning for Mayfest is in the works! you received information at your parent teacher conferences about Mayfest.

Why is Mayfest important? The success of this MAJOR fundraiser makes it possible for us to not increase the cost of tuition despite the rising cost of living in our current economy.

Tuition only covers roughly half of the cost to educate a child, the rest is covered through fundraising and donations. Mayfest IS work, but also much FUN!

FEATURED Mayfest opportunity of the week: We are looking for someone to help plan table decorations. Do you have a decorative flair? This would be right up your alley! Please contact Denise Wolfgram if interested-. wolfgram@lutherschools.org

Mayfest has been an integral part of MLS reaching back to the school's inception. We hope to have as much parental involvement as possible. A yellow sheet was was included in the packet you received at conferences. We have many opportunities for parent to help with the Mayfest event. Please complete that and have your child return it to their classroom teacher.

Students will receive a "stellar" gift for their completed form.

Check out the bulletin board opposite the school office for some basic information about Mayfest. It really is GREAT event! :)

Winter coat? Jacket? Sweatshirt? T-shirts?

Because of our fickle weather and sometimes cooler classrooms, it's helpful for your child to have a lighter jacket/sweatshirt/ sweater option available for those warmer days outside, as well as cooler days while inside. Sometimes a t-shirt is just too cool to wear these days in the classroom, so to help your child be comfortable, we encourage you to provide a long-sleeved option or sweatshirt.

Likewise, we may have "winter coat weather" in the morning for recess, and "sweatshirt weather" in the afternoon or after school. Having a lighter coat option will prepare us for our lovely, ever-changing ND weather!

STEM CLUB is up and running! Check out our students learning the technical aspect of 3-D digital printing.

(What does it take to print out a Luther Lion paw print?)
