Places and Spaces


Get up to £10,000 to improve your Place or Space and keep your community physically active.



Crowdfunder and Sport England have teamed up to make an initial £7 million of match funding available to help community sport and physical activity groups improve their facilities and unite communities as part of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.


If you are a community sport and physical activity group and are looking to create, enhance or redevelop your sports facility for the benefit of the community as part of the Birmingham 2022 legacy, then you could be eligible to receive up to £10,000 in match funding!.

Active Together


Get up to £10,000 to keep your community physically active.


Crowdfunder and Sport England have teamed up to make £7.5 million of match funding available to help the sport and physical activity sector to recover, reinvent and build resilience.


We’re encouraging not for profit organisations who play an important role in keeping their community physically active to get involved.


If your sports club has experienced financial difficulty due to Covid-19, the emerging energy, cost of living or other local crises, or maybe needs to adapt how it operates post-pandemic, follow the link below to start setting up a crowdfunding campaign and apply for up to £10,000 match funding today.

Thomas Wall Trust


The Thomas Wall Trust believes that communication skills are critical capabilities for people who want to improve their employment prospects, self-confidence, resilience, and life chances.


The Trust recognises that communication is underpinned by a set of key features and skills such as empathy, listening, emotional intelligence, confidence, and clarity, amongst others.


We are an inclusive charity, welcoming proposals which target people experiencing multiple deprivation or other groups demonstrably facing major hurdles to employment, especially; women, people with physical, mental, or learning disabilities, refugees and asylum seekers.


The Trust offer grants up to £5,000 to specific projects or core activities that develop these critical life skills for people from disadvantaged groups.


The deadline for 1st stage applications is Monday 23rd January 2023.

Speak to your Learning Disability Partnerships Board – an invitation to have your say.


Do you ever wish someone would just listen to you? Well, Herefordshire's Learning Disability Partnership Board wants to hear what you have to say. 


The Learning Disability Partnership Board is a group of people who are working together to make Herefordshire an excellent place to live. Some people on the Board have learning disabilities, some have relatives or friends with learning disabilities, and some work for Herefordshire Council or for organisations that support people with learning disabilities.


The Learning Disability Partnership Board would really like to hear what you think about the services and activities you take part in so that we can try to make them better.

Cross Sectors Summit

 

BOOK NOW for an afternoon cross sector summit. 

The aim of the summit is to bring the voluntary sector and statutory services together to understand what they offer, what the problems are and explore the opportunity of solving these problems together across sectors. What is the art of the possible ? this event will focus on tangible actions. 

Do you have an idea or service to offer? Do you have a problem or opportunity you would like to find a solution to?

Now is your chance. We will be bringing together leaders from across both sectors to explore together how we create more cohesive and holistic services for our communities.

Did you know Membership to hvoss is free?


hvoss is your local community and voluntary sector support service. We provide invaluable information, guidance and support to volunteers or people interested in volunteering, community groups, charities, voluntary organisations and individuals in Herefordshire.


We also represent the community sector through our members, including developing constructive discussion, commissioning arrangements and partnership working on members’ behalf with stakeholders, all of whom are committed to a strong and resilient community in the county. 


Becoming an hvoss Member


Membership of hvoss is open to any individual, community group or organisation who shares these values and is keen to work together and promote the value of the community and voluntary sector in our county.


These are challenging and difficult times for our sector, so hvoss offers you the opportunity to be part of an organisation that will represent your views and concerns and advocate on your behalf with stakeholders, including the local authority and health.


From April 2021 to March 2023, membership of hvoss is free


As an hvoss member you will also be able to access benefits, resources and specialist knowledge that will support you, your organisation, community group or charity.
