The 18th Annual College Show
ArtsWorcester, Worcester, MA
One of our favorite annual exhibitions returns, this year with a virtual twist! It's time for the 18th Annual ArtsWorcester College Show, an online-only exhibition drawing on the creative strengths of student artists in Worcester and beyond.

This year's College Show was juried by Jessica Roscio, Director and Curator, Danforth Art Museum. From over 170 submissions, Roscio selected fifty-six works in traditional and new media, including film, printmaking, photography, paint, and digital art. "The diversity of media and subject were exciting, and many works approached our current anxieties in varied and surprising ways, creating a window into contemporary practice on the college level," says Roscio.

This year, prize winners will be exhibited in-person at ArtsWorcester through March 27, 2022. Explore the virtual exhibition and take a guess at who will win prizes.

Prizes for the 18th Annual College Show are generously supported by Marlene and David Persky and the Artist Prize Fund.

When exhibitions are on view, gallery hours run Thursdays through Sundays, 12-5 PM.

Stories to Share: Lisa Bostnar
Jaffrey Civic Center, Jaffrey, NH
Since October, the Jaffrey Civic Center has hosted a speaker series titled “Stories to Share” This eight-part program features unique and interesting individuals from the Monadnock Region. On Friday, March 4, the popular speaker series continues with actress Lisa Bostnar. The title of Lisa’s talk is “My Life In The Theatre-or-Has Anyone Seen My Tiara?

Lisa has been a professional actor mostly out of NYC for . . . well, more years than she cares to admit! Lisa has had many roles both on the stage and on the screen with appearances on television shows like Law and Order, The Blacklist, and Criminal Intent. Despite her national roles on television and on stage in New York, many of you might know her work locally through performances with Peterborough Players. On Friday, March 4th, you are invited to come hear Lisa’s story about how she got there. And here. In her talk, Lisa will share some intimate tales of her journey, including photos and clips of her work from the beginning until present day.

Lisa’s talk is the sixth in the Center’s monthly speaker series, which is held on the first Friday of each month, October to May. Joe Steinfield, who writes monthly columns for the Keene Sentinel and the Monadnock Ledger-Transcript, is the moderator for the series.

The program will be available as an in-person event at the Jaffrey Civic Center in the Auditorium Gallery as well as via Zoom. Pre-registration is required, and for this event, the center is requiring proof of COVID19 vaccination. Masks will also be required. These programs are free of charge, but to help support this event and others like it, donations are appreciated. The series is supported by Exclusive Platinum Sponsor, Belletetes, Inc.
