Wonderings
A publication of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at MSU

Great, great information that's very timely for our current state in the country.

Plenty of opportunities for discussion. I loved the round table discussion after the last class!

I felt like I had an opportunity to really meet and connect with some of my other classmates.

Jessica's Note

The sun is shining more often than not, and the snow is slowly receding; Spring is approaching!

I am looking forward to new beginnings, warmer weather, hikes and exploration, and little green sprays suddenly appearing and spreading across the landscape.

Are you collecting seeds and sprouts to plant? Or planning on some spring cleaning, purging clutter and mess? How about dusting off your warmer-weather clothing and hiking boots?

OLLI at MSU has two great upcoming OLLI Extra programs to prepare you for spring cleaning and outdoor activities. Enjoy File, Pile, Sort, Shred! and Backcountry Safety and First Aid this season, then get out and delight in the warmer weather to come.

March Friday Forum - Holding the Community Together

As Bozeman and surrounding communities grow at breakneck speed, we depend upon HRDC (Human Resource Development Council) to help residents gain and maintain economic stability amid the high cost of living across the valley.

HRDC's CEO Heather Grenier and development director Kristin Hamburg will provide an update on their Community Commons Development. This new campus on East Griffin Drive in northwest Bozeman will provide the community with a one-stop shop for access to food, housing, energy and other support. In addition, the campus will eventually be home to this community's first year-round emergency shelter facility.

Sunshine Ross, HRDC's transportation director, will also discuss the ballot issue for the May election to form an Urban Transportation District and what's at stake for area residents.

Click or tap here for more information or to register for the March Friday Forum. Participants must register no later than 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 10. Upon registration confirmation, participants will receive an email with the Zoom link and instructions to join the program.

Friday Forum features speaker presentations and public discussions on local and regional timely topics the second Friday of September through May. Friday Forum is free and open to the public.
