3 Week Charlotte Street Outlook

Week of May 8

Working: Estes to Greeley

Construction will continue on Charlotte from Estes to Greeley.

All water work is anticipated to be completed this week provided there are no delays experienced. This will include the connection of the residential homes to the new water main on Charlotte. During these residential connections, homes will experience slight interruptions of service for about an hour. Residents will be notified 48 hours in advance of the interruptions.

Xcel will also be continuing to work on installing the new gas main still this week.

Week of May 15

Working: Estes to Greeley

Estes to Greeley and beginning on section from Greeley to Idaho.

Construction will continue on Charlotte from Estes to Greeley and will be focused on the installation of the Xcel gas main.

Provided the water services are completed from last week, crews will start working on Charlotte from Greeley to Idaho. They will mill the roadway between Greeley and Idaho and move the millings over to Charlotte between Estes and Greeley to establish all-purpose roadway. This will allow the section of the roadway to open. After the roadway opens, residents will be responsible for maneuvering their garbage and recycling totes to their usual places.

Greeley will be closed towards the end of this week and Estes will be open (One of these two roadways will be open at all times). Once Greeley is closed, the water lateral connection tie-in into Greeley will be completed since this section of the water infrastructure was delayed.

Week of May 22

Working: Greeley to Idaho

Construction will continue on Charlotte from Greeley to Idaho.

The focus during this week will be installation of the sanitary sewer in the roadway.

If not yet completed, all water work should be completed this week.

Our hope is Xcel will also be working on installing the new gas main services between Estes and Greeley for the residential homes assuming completion of the gas main last week. They have targeted a completion date for the gas service of June 1.

During construction in this segment between Greeley and Idaho, the contractor will be moving trash cans to a location for the solid waste trucks to pick up all of the trash and recycling for the residents and then moving the cans back to their home locations. Access is accommodated through the alleyways behind the homes.

Crews will be working occasionally on Saturdays from 8 am - 4 pm to help with catch up from the snow days and delays that have occurred.
