Feb. 17, 2023

Ray-Pec Parent Community,

I have two celebrations for you as we approach this middle part of February.

National School Counseling Week is recognized in February and is a time to celebrate the valuable contributions of school counselors and other mental health professionals in our schools. In these challenging times, the well-being of our students is of utmost importance, and we are lucky to have a dedicated team of professionals who are dedicated to helping them succeed. From school counselors to psychologists, behavior interventionists, and family/school liaisons, our team works tirelessly to provide counseling, crisis response, and wraparound support for our families. I encourage everyone to join me in thanking these dedicated individuals for their hard work and commitment to supporting our students and families. They play a crucial role in helping our children reach their full potential, and their contributions should not go unnoticed.

February is also Black History Month. Recognizing and honoring the contributions of all Americans is a crucial aspect of our community and national identity. It reflects an education system that is designed to meet the needs of all students. I am happy to see the various activities and resources that our building leadership teams are utilizing to engage and educate our students on American history and culture.

We are blessed to have such an incredible team of teachers and support staff across the district working with our students.

Thank you for entrusting your children to the Ray-Pec School District,

Mike
