12/31/21
Dear IMS Families,

Hopefully, all of you had a nice holiday break and this email finds all of you well.  It is my hope you have received the email from Mr. Hegedish regarding returning to school next week. The email included some strategies in place for the health and safety of our students and staff.  Listed below are some of the highlighted topics:

  • A universal mask mandate (already in place for next week; to be discussed extending by the Board of Education at our 1/6/22 meeting)
  • Limiting outside visitors into all buildings
  • Virtual meetings and conferences
  • Extra staffing ready for anticipated shortages
  • Adjusting seating in classrooms and lunchtimes
  • Covid-19 Testing - Any student that is showing infectious disease symptoms is able to receive an at-home test from the school clinic.  When you let us know your student is home sick, the office team will arrange details for you to pick up a test if needed.

Students will NOT have school on Monday, January 3, 2022, so staff can prepare and reimplement safety measures and protocols for school.  We look forward to having our students back in session on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.  To help and support keeping our students/staff safe, and in school each day, please consider the following:
  • Talking with students on properly wearing masks
  • Socially distancing when possible
  • If your child is exhibiting any Covid symptoms - please have them stay home.

As further information and concerns arise I will notify you accordingly and as thoroughly as soon as possible. The continued partnership is always appreciated.

Take care and Happy New Year!

Sincerely,
Jamie
