Sunday was a special day as we opened the 11:00 service with the baptism of Noah Biancini, Matthew Koepp, and Courtney Pearson. Courtney lives in Michigan and is a faithful follower of our livestream services. She and her husband, Courtland, traveled south on vacation, and Courtney wanted to be baptized in the church that has meant so much to her!
Also, we welcomed Chevy Berry upon promise of her church letter. Please speak to her when you see her, and welcome her to our faith family!
At the completion of the 11:00 service, Bill Whitman surprised his wife, Marie, with a vow renewal ceremony in honor of their 50th wedding anniversary!
Please pray for the Children’s DNOW event that will be this coming weekend. It is a scaled-down version of our Youth DNOW, and has been highly successful for the past few years. This year’s event teacher / speaker will be Ethan Wilson. Please pray for Ethan, Lori Replogle, and all the volunteers who will be helping to make this such a memorable event for our children. Ethan will be preaching in both services this Sunday, March 27th, and the Children’s Choir will be singing in the 11:00 service.
Our re-scheduled Youth DNOW will be the following weekend, April 1-3. Luke Johnson, who preached here on January 23rd, will be the camp speaker. DNOW is one of our largest and most important events of the year for our students. Please be in prayer for Rhys, Luke, and everyone who will have a part in the success of this much-anticipated event. Luke will be preaching in both services on April 3rd.
Finally, please be aware that on April 3rd at 5:00pm, at a Special Business meeting, our Concept Committee will present their proposal for the construction of a gym. Folks, this gym is long overdue, and I believe the time is now! Please don't miss this presentation. The vote will be on April 24th. Be on the lookout for an informational letter that you should receive this week!
On a more personal note, Janice’s surgery that had originally been scheduled this past November has been rescheduled for this Thursday, March 24th. She will spend that night in the hospital, and will then have to take it easy for the next few weeks. We don’t yet have a time to be at the hospital, but as the Lord puts her on your heart, please lift her up in prayer.
You are loved!
Dan
