We are proud to announce that our 107th Habitat home has earned the ENERGY STAR® label!
For more than 25 years, ENERGY STAR certified new homes have set the standard for quality, efficiency, and lasting value. These homes meet strict requirements set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, are built with tried-and-true best building practices, and are third-party tested, inspected, and certified.
To earn this certification, our 107th home underwent more inspections and testing than typical homes, graciously managed by our amazing Build Committee volunteers. The Johnson family can have peace of mind knowing that their Habitat home was independently verified to meet all ENERGY STAR program requirements!
While Habitat homes are always built to be energy efficient, taking this next step as an ENERGY STAR certified builder will create even more savings for our families that start now and continue into the future.
Don't forget! We hope you will join us on Thursday, February 23 at 6:00 PM at 601 Rose Street in Denton to dedicate this home to the Johnson family. Learn more here.

Habitat for Humanity's long-time mission has always been to bring people together to build homes, community, and hope. One way that we build community is by partnering with other local nonprofits in our area. Denton County Friends of the Family recently presented their 6th Annual "An Evening of Raised Awareness: A Walk in Her Shoes," a free awareness event recognizing Black History Month and exploring the history of domestic violence within the African American community. They needed doors to include on the set of the evening's theatrical performance, so our Warehouse Associate and go-to handyman, Gary Morgan, cleaned up and prepared several of our donated doors for them. We were grateful for the opportunity to repurpose these doors to help another nonprofit in our community, all thanks to supporters like you who make donations to our store on a regular basis!

Habitat Denton is blessed to have an amazing partnership with Lowe's. Lowe's has donated hundreds of brand new in the box items to our ReStore, including power tools, air-conditioning units, patio furniture, sheds, gazebos, lawn mowers, and more. Their generous partnership allows us to sell high-quality products to our loyal shoppers for a fraction of the price! Then, 100% of the proceeds from the sales of these purchases go directly toward building affordable homes in Denton County. Thank you to Lowe's for generously donating these items and helping us build a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

We are raising funds to develop 8 acres of vacant land in Southeast Denton and establish a new "Habitat Village" housing development on the property. As many as 35 new affordable homes will be built alongside local families in need via this development. This project involves developing the infrastructure of this neighborhood, including the streets, sidewalks, utilities, proper drainage requirements, and everything else needed to support a neighborhood of 35 homes.
