Sharing the Love

Several of our amazing regular volunteers, including Patty Estes (left in photo) and Marlene Brubaker, plus a mighty team from Regis Jesuit High School helped us speed through our annual inventory count in just two days, which allowed us to open early for drop-in appointments for students impacted by the Boulder County fires.

Meet Marty Brady! This wonderful long-time volunteer picks up lost and found items from several schools, washes everything and brings it to our store clean and ready to give to shoppers. Marty has done this regularly for YEARS...he's the best!

Meet one of our newest volunteers, Cathy Baumgartner. She brought in some extra special "extras" for our shoppers last month, and it has been such a joy getting to know her. Welcome to the team!

The Vans store in Cherry Creek Shopping Center just donated another load of wonderful items. As with every donation from Vans, each piece of clothing and pair of shoes went home with someone the same day it arrived!

Our friends at Black Girls Do Bike Denver made a wonderful donation of hygiene bags to help those impacted by the fires in Boulder County. Special thanks to Brooke Goudy from Denver Public Schools for connecting us to this awesome group!

Thank you to Shelly and the members of The Denver Knitting Group who brought us a wonderful donation of handmade hats and scarves, just in time for the snow! Our shoppers will be warm and cozy thanks to your group's talent and generosity.

Kantorei strikes again! This time with a delivery of 1,347 pairs of new socks and underwear plus five bags of clothing. We are so lucky to have this talented nonprofit choral ensemble as part of our family. Thank you for your beautiful music and the many ways you lift up our community.

We had a ton of fun when several members of our dedicated CTKD Board of Directors (plus some helpful spouses!) joined us for a pizza and sorting party. Thank you all for the MANY ways you support our mission, both in and out of the store.

Take a look at all the shoes these awesome students at Bromwell Elementary School collected. We counted more than 200 pairs (many new) that arrived pre-sorted and already tagged.
