MoDOT encourages public to provide feedback on projects
Input from those who use the transportation system a valuable asset in design
The recent increases in state and federal highway funding have MoDOT staff working on studies and design plans to improve roads across the state. This will help the department better serve you — the customers.

MoDOT is conducting environmental studies and designing more projects in a continued effort to move Missourians safely on a reliable transportation system.

Consider signing up for e-updates to stay informed of these projects. You can select the MoDOT regional district to receive notices of upcoming public meetings in your area. Your input is important as engineers work on the design plans.

Public meeting information, displays and comment forms are available virtually on MoDOT's website if you cannot attend in person.

Two major projects have public comment opportunities this month. A public comment period for proposed changes to the Interstate 70 and U.S. 54 interchange in Kingdom City is open now through February 28 online here.

In the Kansas City area, public meetings regarding the future of Interstate 70 are scheduled. An environmental re-evaluation for the section of I-70 between The Paseo and U.S. 40 will have a pair of open house public meetings the first week of March. Meeting details and a link to the online comment section are available here.

Seats remain for child passenger safety course
The Northeast Coalition for Roadway Safety and the Safe Kids Coalition have partnered to offer a four-day safety seat technician course Mar. 23-26. The class is limited to 15 seats, and about half are still available. There will be a waiting list for those unable to register in time.
African American Transportation History
African Americans have made considerable contributions to the transportation industry throughout U.S. history. The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) produced this video highlighting several of these stories.
