Bennett Public Safety Survey
The Town of Bennett is conducting a research project surrounding the topic of public safety.

The purpose of this research project is to better understand residences' thoughts and feelings surrounding the topic of public safety in the Town of Bennett. This research project is being conducted by Steve King, a graduate student at the University of Colorado-Denver and fellow with the Town of Bennett.

The procedure for this research project involves collecting responses to a survey that will take approximately 20 minutes and a series of community focus groups. Your responses will be confidential and there will not be any involuntary collection of personal identifying information such as your name, email address or IP address. The result of this study will be used for scholarly purposes only. A report will be presented to the Town Administrator's Office upon the completion of this research project.
You can participate by filling out the survey online here or signing up to participate in a focus group. The Focus group should last no longer than an hour and fifteen minutes. Food, beverages and childcare will be provided.

The deadline for survey and focus group response is March 14, 2022.

2022 Municipal Election Canceled, New Trustees to be Elected in April
In 2022, there were three Trustee seats available to serve on the Town of Bennett Board of Trustees. The Municipal Election for these seats has been canceled because the number of candidate affidavits received was not more than the seats to be filled.

Darvin Harrell and Kevin Barden will be re-elected and the board will welcome Steve Dambroski for his first term. The trustees will serve a four-year term ending in 2026. They will be sworn in during the board meeting on April 12, 2022.

Harrell, Barden and Dambroski join fellow board members Mayor Royce Pindell, Whitney Oakley, Denice Smith and Donna Sus.

Board meetings take place on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month. Meetings consist of a study session at 5:45 p.m. and the regular meeting at 7:00 p.m.

More information on the Town Board of Trustees including meeting agendas and minutes can be found here.

Master Transportation Plan
The Town of Bennett has initiated the first ever Master Transportation Plan (MTP) to establish a long-range vision for the Town of Bennett’s transportation system for the next 20+ years. The MTP seeks to better understand and address current and future transportation needs for the Bennett community. It establishes an overall framework, sets community goals, and identifies a range of investment opportunities to move people in the most efficient and safest manner possible today and for years to come.

There are currently multiple opportunities for residents to provide input and feedback on transportation needs and concerns in the Bennett community.

Residents are asked to provide feedback on a short questionnaire here or can place their concerns on an interactive map here.
