Columbia Montour Chamber
The Chamber board of directors has adopted a code of conduct to encourage greater collaboration among elected and other officials. The document was developed in response to increasing polarization and unprofessionalism among people in leadership positions, resulting in organizational dysfunction and decreasing engagement in the decision-making process. Elected officials and governing bodies, including non-profit organizations, are invited to adopt the code of conduct. Click here for the press release.
Greater Latrobe-Laurel Valley Chamber
The Chamber will host "Leadership Development with Dale Carnegie," a four-part educational series aimed at developing and identifying leaders in the workplace. Schuylkill Chamber
On December 8, 2022, Chamber President & CEO Robert S. Carl, Jr. announced the promotion of Samantha M. Chivinski to the position of Executive Vice President. This title has only been used once before in the history of the chamber and comes with great work, responsibility, and leadership. Samantha has worked diligently for the chamber over the last four years and eight months. She has a full and complete working understanding of all aspects of the chamber. She has served in the role of Events and Communications Director, and when the opening occurred and I determined the necessity to serve the best interests of the chamber and our members, she voluntarily converted her role to Member Relations Director. In both roles, she performed with excellence and distinction.

Renee Buchanan has assumed the role of Member Relations Director. She has already begun staff leadership of the Member Service Committee and the Ambassadors Committee. Her role as Community Outreach Director will now simply be rolled into her title and job duties as member relations director. Renee has done a great job of new member recruitment and utilizing chamber value-added services and programs to recruit and retain chamber members. Her work ethic and incentives to achieve for the chamber and our members remain very strong.

Kelly Huber continues to develop in her role as Financial and Administrative Director, and we appreciate her steadfastness and our members' cooperation and patience as we continue to work through staff and customer relationship management system conversion. Kelly joined the Chamber in August 2022.
U.S. Chamber
The Chamber would like to introduce our new hire in the U.S. Chamber's Great Lakes Regional Office - Maggie Woodin. Maggie grew up in Milwaukee, WI, and spent the last seven years working in Washington, DC. She most recently served as Legislative Director for Representative Peter Meijer from Michigan’s Third District. Prior to working for Rep. Meijer, Maggie worked for Representative Mike Gallagher and Representative Reid Ribble, both from Wisconsin. Maggie graduated from Indiana University where she majored in Spanish.
