Kingdom Normal
Wells Sets Stage for 2021 Reunion
In multiple contexts, from Zoom calls with leaders to backyard conversations, and from boardrooms to family rooms, there have been conversations in this pandemic season regarding what the new normal might be. Would there be one? For those in the life of the church, what should our expectations be? What would the metrics be as we look to the future? My consistent response and clear conviction throughout have been that we needed to let the shaking of a global pandemic move us to a new day of “kingdom normal.” I recognize that the phrase can sound very theoretical, even ethereal . . .

50th Anniversary Convention
CMI Global's Rich Past and Strong Future
CMI Global recently held its 50th Anniversary Convention with Dr. David Shibley from Global Advance as the keynote speaker. Shibley did a masterful job of connecting CMI Global's rich past to a strong future of Gospel presentation. CMI Global had its genesis during the Jesus Movement of the late 1960s and early 1970s. The original Petra band came out of this Fort Wayne, Indiana, revival. Two of the original Petra members, Greg Hough and John DeGroff and Friends, led the convention in worship and shared a few original Petra numbers. Rev. Dennis L. Kutzner was elected to serve another five-year term as the General Overseer.
GO Pray, United, Simple, Powerful
Praying for the Harvest
The GO Movement invites you to unite in a simple but powerful prayer time on the first Friday of every month. The goal is to pray in unity with many believers, church denominations, and prayer networks worldwide for revival and for the harvest according to Luke 10:2–3.

Each month, people with insight on the topics we are praying for help guide us. The format is informal. We meet with simplicity and humbleness of heart as we wait on the Lord and pray in unity.

New Assistant Superintendent
Doris Quirós, AG's Southern Latin District
That Doris Quirós has been elected assistant superintendent of the Southern Latin District—becoming the first female in the continental U.S. Assemblies of God to hold that position—is perhaps unsurprising. Her dad, bi-vocational pastor Ruben Quirós Sr., and mom, Mirta, moved to New York from Puerto Rico and pastored a Long Island church. Her parents later planted a church in the Bronx, while raising her and her six siblings in the Assemblies of God. At 18, when she was baptized in the Holy Spirit, she says she heard God call her to preach. But that was just the beginning of her story.
Bishop Jerry Macklin
Featured in AVAIL Journal
In a recent issue of the Avail Journal, highlighting several Pentecostal leaders, Bishop Jerry Macklin of the Church of God in Christ was featured in an article, entitled "The Canvas of Tomorrow." The focus is on the topic of transforming your community with creativity and vision. "Circumstances change, but we can take up the brush of faith and paint in vibrant living colors on the canvas of tomorrow."
