District Updates



Board Meeting Tomorrow. 3/16 at 6:30 pm. Please join us in-person in the District Office or online via Zoom. We will share the results from the Masking Guidelines Feedback Survey that was sent out last week as the School Board makes their decision about masking at Lakeside.

Open School Board Seat. The LJSD Board of Trustees has an open seat due to the resignation of long-time Trustee Dr. Linda Kelley. LJSD Board of Trustees intends to make an appointment at the April 6, 2022, Regular Board Meeting. 

Interested candidates must be 18 years of age or older, a citizen of California, a resident of Lakeside Joint School District, a registered voter, and who is not disqualified by the Constitution or laws of California from holding a civil office. Applications are available on the district website. Applications are due to the Lakeside Joint School District office by Friday, March 25th at 4:00 pm.

School Updates

Trimester Awards Ceremony. 3/16. At 9am, the school will gather for awards and an Irish River Dance presentation. Lakeside's Student Council President, Shannon Daly, will lead the entire school through a mini Irish dance lesson at the start of the assembly.

Lakeside's Production of "Lady Foxxhound's Rubies." 3/23 at 6pm. Audience members will need to show proof of vaccination at the door. Parents please RSVP ASAP via email the number of guests you anticipate so we may arrange seating accordingly in the Community Center. Seats are limited! TK students will be singing in the play and will need to be picked up at 2:40pm on Monday 3/21 for their dress rehearsal.

5th Grade Announcements:

• Saratoga's Redwood Middle School 6th Grade Orientation. 3/17. If you did not get the zoom link and are interested in attending, please email Ms. Marshall.
• 5th Grade Science Camp Coordination. A link to sign-up for volunteers has been sent via email. Your student's science camp requirements should have been completed by Monday the 14th. If you are unsure or need any assistance please email us ASAP.

Lakeside Foundation Updates

Calling all Apple & Ebay Employees. Apple and Ebay are currently matching all donations 2 or 3 to 1! Apple is doing this through 3/16 and Ebay through 3/21. Men's Night Out. 3/19. An afternoon of tree felling and log splitting followed by BBQ ribs and beer. Saturday, 3/19, 4pm-8pm. Tickets on sale now. $25/person with proceeds benefitting LSCF.
