The Secrets of Citations: How to turn archival research into historical writing

Any work of history begins in the archives. In partnership with the Rodef Shalom Archives, Rauh Jewish History Program & Archives Director Eric Lidji will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the archival research behind "The Seventeenth Generation: The Lifework of Rabbi Walter Jacob," published by Rodef Shalom Congregation. Lidji will offer advice for those struggling to convert their research into a cohesive story.

Before she became a beloved columnist for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Sally Kalson was a young reporter with deep roots, a strong will, a clear voice, and a desire to lead a meaningful life. Come see how she did it. This program is presented in partnership with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Newspaper Guild of Pittsburgh, the Press Club of Western Pennsylvania, and the Women's Press Club of Pittsburgh.
