See What's New with the Valley Outreach Board of Directors

Volunteers support the work of Valley Outreach in many different capacities, and being on our Board of Directors is a great way to advance the mission. We are excited to announce our new board chair, Claudia Swendseid (pictured above), three new board officers, and welcome a new board member!

Celebrate Black History Month

February is Black History Month. Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing their central role in U.S. history.

We celebrate the diverse backgrounds and identities of the communities we work with. As such, we are committed to working with Black leaders, partners, and communities to amplify their voices and improve food security within Black communities, who consistently face hunger at higher rates due to social, economic, and environmental challenges.

"Valley Outreach is a wonderful place to volunteer and receive help. The staff and volunteers are amazing! The food shelf is like a grocery store, with a wide variety of fresh produce, refrigerated and frozen items, shelf stable food, and personal care items. StyleXchange offers clothing, shoes, and accessories (purses, scarves, ties, belts, and hats) for free to those in need." - Clothing program volunteer
