ANNUAL ZERO WASTE SYMPOSIUM
I spoke at the 11th Annual Zero Waste Symposium on 2022's Measure B. Climate action and building a resilient city is a NOW issue. We are working toward a sustainable zero-waste future and we need all the tools in our toolbox. Measure B provides new opportunities to meet our zero-waste goals.

District 1 road resurfacing! Slurry seal is coming to Del Mar Mesa and Torrey Hills to keep these streets in good condition.

2024 WOMEN IN BLUE
San Diego Assistant Chief Sandra Albrektsen was honored at the Women in Blue Luncheon with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her contributions during four decades of service. Thank you, Chief Albrektsen for your service to our city, for breaking barriers, and for being a role model for all who serve.  

The San Diego Police Department’s (SDPD) percentage of women currently exceeds the national average, and in addition, they signed onto a national initiative to meet 30 percent female recruits in training academies by 2030. Thank you SDPD and San Diego Police Foundation for your vision and recruitment efforts.
