WEEKLY BULLETIN - December 2, 2021
From the Desk of Mike Fuerte
Dear Families

Advent and Lent are two special seasons in the Church calendar, and Catholics often see Advent as the “easy, happy” season, while Lent is the “tough, solemn” season.

We also need to remember that Advent is a key time to prepare our hearts to celebrate the birth of Jesus.

St. Louise Speech Team Update
St. Louise Speech Team Does Well in November!
Our Speech Team hosted its annual “warm-up” tournament here at St. Louise on Saturday, November 13th. Speech team students competed against one another in a mock tournament that helped prepare students for the upcoming high school hosted events throughout the winter months. We are so grateful to Anais Fawcett for her tireless efforts in organizing the St. Louise Speech Tournament each year!

Then, the following week, 15 returning Speech Team members competed at the Archbishop Murphy Speech Tournament. Students competed against more than 150 other students from 11 other schools across the region. St. Louise students took home numerous top 3 finishes, and were finalists across countless categories! We thank Rebecca Nightingale for leading the Speech Team again this year, as well as the many judges, coaches, and alumni who help make the season run smoothly!

St. Louise Students Perform in
Pacific NW Ballet's The Nutcracker
We are so excited to announce that this year two of our extremely talented 8th graders have the honor of dancing in the PNB Nutcracker. Congratulations to Annalise Dautricourt who is performing the role of the lead, Clara, and Elina Nartates who is performing roles of a mouse and candy cane! These girls have been successfully juggling their 8th grade class load all while practicing, and now performing, most nights each week in order to bring the magic of The Nutcracker back to the stage after a COVID hiatus.

If you are interested in attending a performance, you can buy tickets here. The Dautricourt Family has generously extended their family promo discount of 20% off to our School Community - just use their code "NutFamily" or take advantage of a Black Friday Special when checking out. THANK YOU Dautricourts for the discount code and for also already setting up show opportunities for the Jr. High and Kindergarten Families! If you'd like to ensure you see Annalise & Elina perform you can check the performance calendar here - they are in the "A" shows.

2 WEEKS LEFT IN FREE DRESS CONTEST
We have $7000 in rebates to earn in TWO WEEKS!!!!! We have already earned $4000 in rebates and we know we can achieve this feat!

Christmas is rapidly approaching and we know most everyone gives a gift card to someone - maybe a grandparent or the crazy uncle who is hard to shop for, or even for the giving tree at church. Please use us for your gift giving purchases! If EVERY family participates (even if you originally opted out), then we will surely make our goal!

Also don't forget to check out the teacher and staff wish lists posted on the Charger Card Office Window. This list can also be found in the office along with Scrip To Go forms. Check us out on Facebook and stay tuned for updated holiday shopping hours coming in the next two weeks.

Normal Charger Card hours are Tuesday 2:45-3:30 PM and Friday 8:30-9:15 AM at the Charger Card window.
