July 2022
Hello!
As I write this, I simply cannot seperate the human woman I am from my business. I AM my business. And this human woman is reeling from the disastrous SCOTUS decision. I am angry. I am unbelievably heartbroken. And I am scared for so many vulnerable women out there.

I am also heartened by the support that is showing up in the business world. Some responses:

  • Patagonia offered to bail out protestors.
  • Dick’s Sporting Goods will pay for travel abortion fees.
  • Jellyvision CEO Amanda Lannert, took it upon herself to express herself on LinkedIn saying, “Abortion is healthcare. My votes, dollars, and the policies of any company I serve will support this tenet.”
  • Canva is covering the cost of travel and accommodation for U.S. based employees and their chosen support person to access abortion care in a state where it is not restricted or banned.
  • And there are many more ...

I'm not a big enough business to be able to do the same. That said, my votes, my political financial support, and my consumer buying dollars will be spent supporting those who support a woman's right to make decisions about her own body, health, and family, and helping women move forward from this gross step backward.

I know the topic swirls with a lot of passionate emotions on both sides, but the fact is, Message Artist Creative Group is a business that believes deeply and strongly in inclusivity, diversity, freedom, and equality. Period.

I couldn't ignore such an enormous and negatively impactful decision as though nothing has changed. Let's support each other. Let's be kind and compassionate toward each other. And let's take the deep breaths, roll up our sleeves, get to work, and be ready to do some hard things (to quote the fabulous Glennon Doyle.)
**many deep breaths**

Ok, let's turn attention back to content marketing ...

I always want to provide good content marketing tips, so my latest blog post talks about fractional marketing and how it can be a big benefit to small businesses.

And I do hope you all had a relaxing holiday weekend spent with those you love.

What is Fractional Marketing & Why Is It Trending?

Fractional marketing may sound like complicated business terminology, but it simply means you contract out marketing experts for a fraction of work/time. It’s a popular marketing solution accelerated in these Covid years with marketing budgets and personnel resources squeezed more than usual. This concept means that any size business can access top marketing talent without having to pay salary and benefits for in-house staff.
