Lexington has always been home to a vibrant and engaged community of readers. The Literary Café aims to expand upon that tradition by bringing authors from across the country to Lexington to examine a topic thoroughly and place that topic in conversation. We are excited to launch this new program – a partnership between the Cary Library Foundation and Cary Library – and to dig deep into the issues of our time through the world of books and ideas.

The Literary Café is hosted by Lexington author and Foundation Board member, Marjan Kamali.

Cary Library Foundation's Science Café series brings local scientists face-to-face with Lexington residents for lively and interactive scientific discussions about ground-breaking discoveries. We have been honored to host several prominent Lexington residents and scientists such as Dr. Samuel Ting, a Nobel-Prize laureate; Dr. Melanie Ivansson, Moderna's Chief Development Officer; and on March 10, Dr. Anu Puri, Chief Data Officer for the Massachusetts Hospital Association.



The Science Café is hosted by Foundation volunteers, Kim Goldinger and Jagesh Shah.

Our Literary Café and Science Café series offer the Lexington community a rare chance to hear experts - often Lexington residents themselves - reflect on their life journeys and the state of their field. Your donations make these series possible!

In addition, your support enables Cary Library to provide a broad array of other, exciting programming for all ages while continuing to build its collections of physical and digital books and periodicals.
