One Week to Go!

We hope you will participate in our annual Canned Food Drive by donating items for this important service drive. All food will be donated to St. Stephen's Community House and St. James the Less' Food Pantry.

For those who may want to drop off items for our canned food drive on a weekend day, please note we will have the following opportunities available:

December 4 from 8am to 10am - Little Theater Lobby

December 5 from Noon to 2pm - Little Theater Lobby

Students can also bring their donations to the collection tables in the Little Theater lobby when arriving to school.

Stallions in the Spotlight

Congratulations to the winners of our annual Spanish Club 'Day of the Dead' sugar skull decorating contest: Joel Villa, Briceida-Ortega Garcia, and Denise Nuñez Reyes.

The BC Calculus class made an advent calendar -- using their Calculus knowledge! -- which is filled with prayers to be enjoyed leading up until Christmas.

Stallion Way is Open for Student Drivers

Stallion Way, before and after school, is now accessible for student drivers only. Parents and teachers will use the same entrances and exits that they have always used. Please be patient as we all become accustomed to the new traffic flow.

Morning Entrance to the Parking Lot for Students:

Students driving North on Karl Rd should continue to use the North Entrance (entrance with the light) to come into the school parking lot.
Students coming South on Karl Rd should continue to make a left turn and enter at the North Entrance (entrance with the light) to come into the school parking lot.
Students who wish to use Stallion Way to enter the parking lot must drive west on Ferris Road and make a right turn onto Stallion Way. YOU MAY NOT MAKE A LEFT TURN ONTO STALLION WAY.
At the beginning of each school day, Stallion Way is inbound only.

Afternoon Exit for Students on Stallion Way:

All students MUST exit the parking lot through Stallion Way; all exiting student drivers will drive East toward the Baseball Field to access Stallion Way.
Once students have turned the corner on Stallion Way, they will have to elect whether to turn RIGHT (Right Lane Only - toward Karl Road) or LEFT (Left Lane Only - toward Cleveland Avenue). In essence, those in the Right Lane must turn right and those in the Left Lane must turn left; you cannot cut across to the other lane.
Observe all parking cones, signage, and school personnel.
Be courteous. Allow one car to go before you go. This will ensure a safe flow of traffic.
Watch your speed! Stallion Way will have a posted speed limit of 5 MPH.
Once again, Stallion Way is outbound only at the end of the school day.

SFD Mothers Club Christmas Bake Sale is coming!

Our Christmas Bake Sale is approaching and we need your baked goods! The sale will be held during all lunch periods on Tuesday, December 7th. Popular treats are CAKE POPS, BROWNIES, RICE KRISPIE TREATS, COOKIES, and CHOCOLATE COVERED PRETZELS. We ask that treats be individually wrapped in clear packaging and dropped off by you or your student on the cart in the front lobby the morning of the sale. Everything sells for either $0.50 or $0.25.

Seniors Scholarship Acknowledgments

Students are asked to bring a copy of each scholarship awarded to them (even if they do not plan to attend the institution) to their Guidance Counselor or Mrs. Hoyer in the Student Service Center. We will list the college to which they were awarded a scholarship and the scholarship name in our Graduation Program.

NEW Mask to Stay Policy for All Students

Close Contacts (exposed in the classroom or school- related activities) may remain in the classroom if they:

Wear a mask for 14 days from last exposure.
Monitor for symptoms (if symptoms develop, stay/go home and recommend testing).
If remain symptom-free and get a negative test between days 5-7, then after day 7 may discontinue wearing a mask and end quarantine.

NEW Test to Play Policy (for Athletics and Extracurricular Activities)

Asymptomatic contacts may continue to participate in extracurricular activities if they do the

following:

Wear a mask when able (this includes: transportation; locker rooms; sitting/standing on the sidelines; and anytime the mask will not interfere with breathing, the activity, or create a safety hazard).
Test on initial notification of exposure to COVID-19, within 24 hours.
Test again between days 5-7. If they are negative at this time, they will test out of quarantine.

Applies regardless of vaccination or masking status.

All At-Home COVID tests must be proctored through https://www.emed.com/.
