Business development is our focus today. What is business development?
Business development is “a process where community members come together to take collective action and generate solutions to common business problems.”
The Chamber has and will continue to foster business growth in our community. Often our actions go unnoticed as we are constantly in the development phase. So, what is business development?
Our definition of business development is the activity of pursuing strategic business opportunities for our community, for example by cultivating partnerships or other commercial relationships, or identifying new markets for our products or services and inviting new industries to consider our community to expand into.
In a little over 2-weeks, the Chamber is presenting our 2nd annual Green Transpo Expo at the North County Mall. The goal of this annual event is to bring awareness of the massive change coming to all of us as we adapt to these changes. It’s more than just EV’s. We’re talking about construction equipment, leaf blowers, lawnmowers, charging stations, and the list goes on and on.
With all this change comes opportunity. New jobs will be created with skills needed that we can position ourselves to meet if we plan now.
Let’s prepare now for the future business community we want now.
