Every week students are exploring a variety of academics, technology, and the arts. Please enjoy some of our favorite traditions and new traditions happening at Park Maitland School.

Second grade students enjoyed a memorable tradition this week, Across Generations. Ms. Berzovich and Ms. Johnson hosted this precious annual event. Students worked collaboratively with their language arts, music, and art teachers for months to present a book about their chosen VIP. "Our family tree goes way back" as students reunited with their family VIP to show them what they've learned about their special significant VIP guest.

Around Campus
Ms. Sharp captured a fun moment on campus today with K5 blue as they formed the colors of the rainbow.
Medieval Times
Photos by super senior Megan M.
Sixth grade students took a field trip to Medieval Times last week while studying the world of the Middle Ages in social studies class. "The food, the fighting, and seeing my dad made me very happy. This was the very first field trip he has ever been to with me," Megan M. said. After the field trip, back on campus, "Sir" Larrimore shared a presentation about his affection for all medieval history. He explained his experiences and equipment in a hands-on educational experience.

A big THANK YOU to Mr. Larrimore for sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for the Middle Ages and Cheryl Mumbert (mom of super senior Noah M.) for photographing some memorable moments. You can view some of her pictures shown below.
Social Studies
Sixth-grade students in Ms. Triano's social studies class finished up their unit on the Middle Ages laying siege to castles today.
Rock of Ages
As rehearsals are underway for "Rock of Ages", sixth-grade students came dressed to school in costume for the day to shoot a trailer at the Enzian. Stay tuned for a sneak peek, and we hope everyone is excited about the show as we wait for the incredible experience of the live show on Wednesday, May 11.
Science & Social Studies
Last Friday, Ms. Nepple's first grade science class welcomed special guest scientist, Jessica Houston (mom of Jackson in 1-Blue), where she spoke on density and shared a fun activity with the class.
K5 Field Trip
K5 took a field trip last Thursday to the Orlando Rep, to watch "Pete the Cat"! Following the play, they had a picnic lunch at Loch Haven Park to chat about the play and run around with their friends.
