Talk Ethics with Controller Ron Galperin
The cornerstone of American democracy is participation in government. But participation is undermined when people lose trust in their local government officials and institutions. This can happen when ethics are breached, laws are broken, and funds are wasted or abused by those in power. With a string of corruption charges targeting current and former City of Los Angeles officials, change is needed. But how can we get there? Can public corruption be prevented? Is ethics reform needed? Is it possible to rebuild the public trust?

On March 24, City Controller Ron Galperin is hosting a community conversation featuring experts in government ethics and reform. The event will focus on how to rebuild trust in government in the face of local corruption scandals and what can be done to prevent these issues from being repeated in the future. Click here for more details and to register.
