Updates

The Salinas Union School District is asking stakeholders to participate in an annual Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) Survey. The purpose of this survey is to gather information about the educational environment within SUHSD that contributes to maximizing learning for every one of our students.

Your responses will help guide the funding priorities and initiatives for the SUHSD. Thank you for your participation in this process; your time and attention to the survey are appreciated.

The City of Salinas has developed draft recommendations to improve safety for students and families traveling to school. Please click on the map to review each of the draft recommendations for your student's school. After you review the map, please click on the following link to take a short survey. Interested students can email SHS Work Experience Coordinator, Ms. Arevalo for a teacher code and instructions.

Students who complete training may also receive community service hours in the Career Development category.

Good News

The following students have been appointed to the Principal's Advisory Council. This is a newly formed group at SHS.

The purpose is to provide feedback to the principal on important matters concerning SHS from a student perspective.

These students will meet monthly with the principal and will have the opportunity to bring their concerns directly to Ms. Duethman. Congratulations!

Estudiante de Estudios Sociales del cuarto de Semestre

Los siguientes estudiantes han sido nombrados para el Consejo de Asesoria a la Directora. Este es un grupo recién formado en SHS. El propósito es brindar retroalimentación al director sobre asuntos importantes relacionados con SHS desde la perspectiva del estudiante. Estos estudiantes se reunirán mensualmente con el director y tendrán la oportunidad de presentar sus inquietudes directamente a la Sra. Duethman. ¡Felicidades!

Club de Padres de SHS

¡Un enorme agradecimiento al Club de Padres de SHS!¡ Por su colaboración continua, esfuerzos, amabilidad y generosidad para producir eventos como el reciente desayuno de agradecimiento para los maestros y el personal de SHS!
