MARCH 2024

From the Executive Director

DEAR ROSA COMMUNITY:

While ROSA is moving forward with our mission, we are also taking a moment to look back in our 2023 Year in Review.

Every organization evolves over time, but it is no small feat for ROSA to have transitioned to new leadership in 2023. As I am sure you are aware, we are at a pivotal moment not only for our organization but also for the fishing and offshore wind development industries. The environment in which we are all working is changing rapidly. Being equipped to adapt to it remains a priority for ROSA and our partners.

A great foundation was laid for our goals and objectives for this year, which includes our series Get to Know ROSA. I encourage you to register for this informative virtual event. We are also hitting the road and participating in major fishery and offshore wind events this spring. If you are at one of these events, please be sure to connect with us.

Regards,

HAPPENING @ ROSA

Don't Miss the Get to Know Rosa Webinar

On April 8, we are holding our Get to Know ROSA webinar. During this session, you will learn about how ROSA was formed. For instance, did you know that the fishing and offshore wind development industries came together to form ROSA? The goal: to ensure science-backed research, monitoring, and planning related to the effects of offshore wind on fish and fisheries.

You will also meet the ROSA staff, learn about our Board of Directors who represent the fishing and offshore wind industries, and our Advisory Council of researchers, scientists, and representatives from the fishing and offshore wind industries.

Learn more and register here.

Don't Miss ROSA's

2023 Year in Review

Last year was a big one for ROSA. We welcomed Renee Reilly as our second executive director and began to expand our staff. We also secured our first contract to administer regional research, began the development of our first strategic plan, and launched our workshop series around offshore wind fisheries monitoring. Read it here.
