I hope you are enjoying your day!

Last week the Batesville Area Chamber, Genesis: Pathways to Success and the Ripley County Chamber partnered to host the first Side Hustle Series. Iron Timbers shared stories on how they made their side hustle a full-time career. We look forward to hosting more in the future so if you are an entrepreneur or thinking about starting a business, give us a call at 812-934-3101.

Our local schools will be on spring break next week. If you are staying local this year, there is still plenty to do right here in our area.

Here are just a few ideas for spring break. You can go out for lunch/dinner at our local restaurants or visit our local retailers. Take a walk through Brum Woods or on the new walking trails. Enjoy a day at one of our local parks and visit the new skatepark. Give Kids Discovery Factory a call for classes coming up. Stop by the Batesville Memorial Public Library where there is always something going on. The possibilities are endless!

Easter is just around the corner and the Chamber hosts the Community Easter Egg Hunt. It will be on Saturday, April 1st at Liberty Park beginning at 10 am. If you would like to sponsor the Community Easter Egg Hunt, just give us a call or download our sponsorship flyer.

We are hosting the Legislative Update Lunch and Learn on Thursday, May 4th. Seating is limited so please RSVP by April 27th by emailing Erin at chamber@batesvillein.com or give us a call.

Change a Child's Story and be their CASA Volunteer. We have children waiting to have a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer to be their voice. Want to know how to be that volunteer? Contact our Executive Director, Melissa Herzner, @ melissa@voicesforchildren.net or fill out an application on WWW.VoicesforChildren.net. You can still make the cut-off for training starting March 24, 2023.
