Seeds of Change: Global Seed Savers' May Updates
We are so proud of our new Philippines Executive Director Hal Atienza, who has taken the lead with passion and dedication, making an immediate impact with our partners! Already, his strategic vision and innovative approach have brought about positive change, inspiring others and propelling our organization forward. We are confident that under his leadership, Global Seed Savers will continue to thrive and make a lasting difference in the Philippines and beyond!
Here is what Hal has to say about his community connection thus far!

The opportunities to meet our farmer communities, partners, and support groups validated my motivation to work with Global Seed Savers. I've seen the enthusiasm of our Seed Savers Community (SSC) when they do seed exchanges with fellow members. Our community-based seed libraries are keeping to their purpose. And our seed production center offers promising partnerships with local government units and other sectors. More than ever, we need to sustain our collaboration and advocacy - save more seeds, grow natural foods, and protect our food culture and heritage. We continue to scale up our efforts for participatory seeds governance for local impact and contribute to global action to promote seed sovereignty.
