R. Marshall Voyles, Jr.
Funeral Director, Strunk Funeral Homes & Crematory
Robert Marshall Voyles Jr., prefers just 'Marsh' to any other title.
Marsh, a fourth generation Vero resident, enjoys takes great pride in his honesty and good sense of humor but, most of all, his greatest attribute is serving the community of Vero Beach. According to Marsh, his humble core consists of 'God and country,' and he takes enjoyment in making his world compassionately revolve around this notion. Other than a couple of stretches at college, Marsh has never left Vero, his heart just wouldn't let him. Unexpectedly, one of his summer college breaks would ultimately change Marsh's professional future. He began working for a local funeral home and found a passion in funeral service; a career unlike any other he came across in college. After receiving his degree in mortuary science and a Bachelor's degree, specializing in accounting he continued his journey in the death care industry. In November of 1981 he began working for Glenn Strunk, whom he respected as a mentor, thus starting a relationship spanning many decades.
Marsh is married to wife, Patti, has two sons, and four precious grandchildren.

Joni Mazzola is an attorney-at-law, mediator and founder of Mazzola Mediation, PLLC. Joni has mediated over 100 civil and family law disputes between her private practice and volunteering as a county court mediator contracted with the 18th and 19th Judicial Circuits. She is one of only 8 mediators throughout Brevard and Indian River counties that is licensed by the Florida Bar and certified by the Florida Supreme Court in Family, County and Circuit Civil mediation. Joni is also the only attorney-mediator in the state to own a Florida Certified Woman-Owned Business Enterprise.
With a humble beginning in rural West Virginia, Joni was the first in her family to attend college. At age 16, she set her sights on a career in law after winning a 3rd place national victory in debate. After graduating valedictorian of her class, she moved with her family to Ohio and lived in the Cleveland-Akron area for 15 years. There she attended Kent State University where she became a national competitor in trial advocacy and published a thesis on the Fourth Amendment. In 2001, she earned her B.A. in Psychology, graduating Summa Cum Laude with Departmental Distinction in Political Science. She then attended the University of Akron School of Law where she competed undefeated in trial advocacy and earned her J.D. in 2004. Finding her legal interests waning after graduation, she tabled the prospect of practicing law for 14 years while she pursued an alternate career path.
Over the next decade, Joni developed a professional niche in conflict resolution – a sharp contrast with her adversarial skillset. She worked as a troubleshooter in supply chain management and became the lead operations strategist for a global industrial parts distributor and supplier for the U.S. Department of Defense. She then worked at the corporate headquarters for a Fortune 100 insurer, earning a spot on its national catastrophe response team and an eventual corporate transfer to its office in Tampa.
In 2013, within four months of her arrival in Florida, Joni moved across the state and became the sole owner of a struggling restaurant in Micco known as the Marina Café – where she would also unwittingly become the self-taught cook two months later after an employee’s untimely arrest. Over the next four years, the café ranked #1 on TripAdvisor, garnered 21 Hometown News Reader’s Choice Awards, and was featured in Florida Today with a stellar food review. With her venture a success, Joni resolved to sell the business and spend the next year studying Florida law.
After being admitted to the Florida Bar in 2018, Joni spent a brief period working courtroom cases on behalf of the Florida Department of Revenue. She soon decided that she was best suited for non-adversarial work and began working toward certification in mediation. In 2020, she launched Mazzola Mediation and soon after coined its slogan, Life is short. Don’t spend it in courtSM.
Joni also works part-time in probate and trust administration as an associate attorney at VanDeVoorde Hall Law, PL.
