“This is my body, which will be given for you; do this in memory of me.”

Luke 22:19

March 25, 2024

From the Desk of Mr. Marty Van Hulle, Principal

SAL Parents:

Ever since I was a little kid I always looked forward to Holy Week. Perhaps it was because the week marked a break from school as well as the thought that Spring was right around the corner. I love processing into church on Palm Sunday and the washing of feet on Holy Thursday. For me, Good Friday provides a welcome closure to Lent and allows us the opportunity to look optimistically toward Easter Sunday and the ability to congregate and celebrate with family. In addition to these items, this week, on Tuesday, we have our final Stations of the Cross and we celebrate our March birthdays at mass on Wednesday. And finally, our Culver’s attendees are out-of-uniform on Thursday. A busy week for sure . . .

It is my sincere hope that you have a blessed Holy Week and enjoy a safe and relaxing Easter Break!

Take care and God bless,

M. Van Hulle

Principal, SAL

Greeters at Sunday Mass

Would your family like to greeters on Sunday Mornings at Church? Greeters play an important part in welcoming parishioners and visitors to Mass each week. Greeters have several important duties before Mass begins. They welcome people into the building, show them where to hang coats, where to find the restrooms and where the childcare room is.

How does your family become Greeters? You will need to contact the Music and Liturgy Office and have your family’s name added to the Greeters Participation Group of MySAL. Once your name is in the Participation Group you can go in at anytime and sign up for the date and Mass time you wish.

If you have any questions, contact Vincent LaTona in the Prayer and Worship Office at 262 691-1173 ex. 1109 or by email at latonav@stanthony.cc.

Prayers, Gratitude, and Celebration

Thank you to all those who made the 5th Annual Signature Event a success! Here's a recap:

"Now you are Christ's body, and individually parts of it." 1 Corinthians 12:27

On Friday, Feb. 23 2024 at the Ingleside Hotel in Pewaukee, we held a successful 5th Annual Signature Event that exhibited the many parts of the Body of Christ willing to share within our community. The purpose of the event is to come together each year as a community in our Catholic parish, school and lifelong faith formation programs to raise crucial funds to keep St. Anthony on the Lake thriving and moving forward. Many thanks to you, our community who showed up to celebrate our faith family in the "We Are Family," disco theme. It was a memorable evening with many folks dressed in the 70's disco theme, and enjoying an evening of fun.

It was also a tremendously supportive event for St. Anthony on the Lake. We had 703 bids on more than 100 auction items, with bidders present at the event and online bidders alike! 260 members of our community attended the event. We honored longtime staff members, Maureen Michaels, faith formation administrative assistant, and Audrey Anderson, 8th grade teacher with the Profiles in Faith Award.

The event would not have been made possible without our amazing Signature Event volunteer cabinet, our faculty and staff, attendees, bidders, and our generous sponsors and donors!

In total, the event raised more than $175,000 for our beloved parish, school and faith formation programs. Thank you, thank you to all who made this possible.

Please save the date for next year's Signature Event: Saturday, March 8, 2025 at the Ingleside Hotel. This is changed from the date we had in our event program. We hope to see you there!

Finally, if you are interested in helping make next year's event happen, please contact sheehanm@stanthony.cc with your interest to be on the volunteer planning committee. There is something for every talent and skill!
