Happy Friday, Folks -
I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day (Valentine's Week?) with a loved one...friend, family, that 'special someone'...it's all good. Whatever works. Just hold them close.
We sadly lost a few members of the HP community over the last week. Helga Blum, who was a beloved member of the HP community for several decades, passed suddenly (more about Helga below). We also lost Bill Tunney, a member of 10 years who was an avid user of the gym, and frequent GYROTONIC client. Our thoughts are with Kevin Blum, Lynda Tunney, their family and their friends.
Continue reading for more info on everything including tomorrow's clothing and jewelry pop-up sale, important fitness updates from Leigh, Tennis Ball Machine temporarily out of service, the Valentine's Day Tennis Mixer group photo, the winners and runners up of the Women's 6.5 Doubles Ladder, the HPCF Beneficiary In Focus, Covid Tests on clearance sale, videos videos videos and more...

Beloved Longtime Community Member Passes
We'd like to bid farewell to longtime Harbor Point member, Helga Blum. She was a very good tennis player, a great friend to many in the community, and a truly amazing mother. She'll be remembered for her vicious forehand, her lovely smile, and her giant heart. It is said that Harbor Point brought her much joy over the years, and she was generous enough to pass along her sense of humor, passion for the game and love for the Harbor Point community to her son, Kevin.

Increase Strength and Mobility with Pilates and GYROTONIC Sessions
Harbor Point members (and non-members!) can improve their flexibility and achieve an overall feeling of balance at Carla Daro-Kaliski’s Spiral Studio. Her GYROTONIC and Pilates sessions can stimulate your muscle, skeletal, and nervous systems to increase strength and joint mobilization, as well as decompress the spine, so your whole body experiences greater vitality in a natural way. For beginners and experienced athletes, too.
You’re invited to try a discounted introductory package of 3 lessons, available for just $175. Book online and learn more at www.spiralstudiomarin.com. Reach out with any questions :)
I am loving Gyrotonic, and Carla is just fabulous. It has made me stronger and more flexible from just a few sessions, and is gradually improving the way I sit, stand, and move. Very subtle and pretty amazing stuff.

Starting off with a little music, as usual.
La Chica, there is something incredibly special (magical?) about her music and style. Plenty more out there to explore, but here is a taste to whet your appetite:
|
|
A look at the Wagner Group, who is actively fighting for Russia in the Ukraine War, and is in many other places in the world...causing trouble, of course:
|
|
A trailer editor breaks down some iconic trailers and how things have changed. Fun video, but heads up that most of the movies he discusses are of the horror variety (don't worry, it's not too graphic....they're trailers after all!):
|
|
Now, Teddy may very well be the cutest little horse EVER:
|

This video has nearly 40 million views. And it is just so darned weird....This guy actually has several videos that are substantially more 'out there' than this, believe it or not, but they are just too much for this newsletter:

Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for? (Audience) Why should they care? (Benefit) What do I want them to do here? (Call-to-Action)
Create a great offer by adding words like "free" "personalized" "complimentary" or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining!"
