What's happening this week at St. Paul's

June 4-10, 2023

Upcoming Events & News

Bishop’s Visit: We welcome the Rt. Rev. Larry Benfield to St. Paul’s this Sunday. He will be available between services for coffee and discussion, and after the 10:30 service we will honor him with a potluck in the Parish Hall. He is receiving one, reaffirming one, and confirming five members today. Please join us for a potluck lunch in his honor.

Parish Potluck: In addition to honor the ministry of Bishop Benfield, we will honor of the newly confirmed, received, and reaffirmed members and the graduations of Education for Ministry (EfM) with a potluck following the 10:30 service.

Bishop’s Discretionary Fund: The loose plate offering will be given to the Bishop’s Discretionary Fund. Most recently gifts to this fund were used to help the victims of the tornados.

Coffee with the Bishop: Please stay late or come early and enjoy coffee with the Bishop! He will be available for visiting and to answer any questions you may have about the Episcopal Church.

Shrimp Dinner Tickets: The Churchman’s Club will host its annual Shrimp Dinner on Thursday, June 8th at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $35.00 and are now available from members of the Churchman’s Club and in the church office.

Shrimp Dinner Request: The Churchmen’s Club would like to request volunteers to bring desserts and/or appetizers to the Shrimp Dinner. Anything would be greatly appreciated to share at this event.

New Directory: We are in the finals stages of printing directories and making them available in the Narthex. Several members are being contacted to give us permission to make a change in their privacy settings in Realm (our Church Manage Software) in order to be included in the directory. Once everyone has been contacted, we print copies and have them available in the Narthex for you to pick one up.

Community Meal Teams: We have eight teams that rotate the responsibility of offering our community meals on Wednesday evenings. Some of these teams would benefit from having a few more volunteers. If you would like to get involved in serving on a team, please let contact Katie know and she will pass your name along. Thanks.
