From Being Mentored to Now Mentoring!

The United Way of Charlotte County Board of Directors recently welcomed Elizabeth (Liz) Sides to the board. I had the pleasure of meeting Liz a few years ago when she was nominated for our Women United Award called Woman of Courage. This award recognizes a woman facing challenges with resilience, and overcoming adversity with determination, perseverance and strength to reach her goals and dreams. This describes Liz perfectly.  
Perhaps you would be interested in providing spa or personal items for goodie ‘swag’ bags. We will be assembling 50 bags for these well deserving moms.

Campaign Cabinet Chairs Announced

We are pleased to welcome Julie Price, Director of Physician Outreach, Bayfront Health Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda and Kaley Miller, Punta Gorda Airport Marketing and Communications Manager as our 2021-2022 Campaign Cabinet Co-Chairs.

This highly esteemed cabinet will be recognized throughout our community. The Campaign Cabinet training is scheduled for Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 9:00AM. If you would like to participate, please call our office at 941-627-3539.

Save the date! Kickoff and Day of Caring is set for Thursday, October 21, 2021.
Projects and wish lists are still coming in from our local nonprofits. As soon as the volunteer signups are available, they will be posted on our website. Join us for a community united and plan on spending some time with us in the Port Charlotte Town Center from 9-11AM. We will be in the parking lot near the old Sears Department Store for some snacks, games, prizes and lunch.
