It's almost time for our annual Easter Egg Hunt. Join us at 10:00 am in the Fellowship Hall at FPC for snacks, fellowship, and fun! The hunt will happen on the front lawn of the church and will be divided into age brackets. The Easter Bunny may even make a special appearance!

We are in need of eggs! If you feel led and are able, please drop off non-chocolate pre-filled candy eggs to the box near the courtyard door TOMORROW!

Happenings at Hopewell

On March 24 from 2 - 4 PM, we're excited to be teaming up with our friends at Camp Lake Stephens to offer a collaborative day of Camp fun! Campers (or potential campers) of all ages are invited to join us for a Summer Camp Pop-Up at the Old Armory Pavilion in Oxford. Invite your friends!

The Hopewell Women's Retreat is making its return April 5 - 6. We're so excited to welcome our keynoter, Rev. Rachel Penmore, to lead us in discussions centering around the story of Mary & Martha! Interested women can learn more about Rachel here. Registration will be LIVE March 5.

UKirk Ole Miss is looking forward to kicking off another semester together! They are seeking Tuesday night meal providers for their weekly gatherings. You can find the schedule of available dates at ukirkolemiss.org/tuesday-meals, and contact Allison Wehrung with any questions.

The Mission Team meets on the first Monday of each month at 5:00 in the Session Room of the Sanctuary building. Please join us as we seek creative and effective means to serve “the least of these.” If you would like more information, call the church office or contact David Shaw at [email protected].

Send a Kid to Camp!

A cornerstone of its ministry, Camp Hopewell's scholarship fund provides financial assistance for any child who wishes to attend camp. Various programs for children with Down's Syndrome, diabetes, and those with an incarcerated parent have provided a means for disadvantaged children to attend camp. Last year 70 of 381 campers benefitted from financial assistance. 13 were residents of Lafayette county. The cost of sending a child to camp for one week is $420. If you would like to contribute to the Hopewell scholarship fund please click here. Be sure to click the box "Scholarship Fund" to designate your gift. Recurring gifts are greatly appreciated. No amount is too small (or too large!). Thank you for providing a camping experience for a child this summer.

Need a helping hand?

In Good Order is a group of FPC volunteers available to assist members who may need a little extra help with a yard project or light home repairs. FPC volunteers are available to change light bulbs, replace air filters, repair a dripping faucet, haul off a large limb in the yard, etc.

If you would like assistance or know of someone who does,

please contact the church office at 662-234-1757.

Each Friday volunteers gather at the OU Methodist kitchen for the weekly “Food Rescue.”  Left over produce from the Oxford Community Market as well as surplus food from Greek houses on campus are brought to the kitchen.  From these foods, volunteers assemble meal boxes and distributed them to residents of the various public housing facilities in Oxford.  Volunteers to assemble and deliver the meals are needed Fridays from 2:30-4:00.  From the underground parking garage at OU Methodist, go through the double glass doors to the kitchen.  All able-bodied Presbyterians are invited to assist in this creative food distribution program.  No need to sign up.  Just show up!

Memory Makers of Oxford ([email protected]) is a respite day service for those with memory loss. Structured activities provide enrichment for participants while allowing a much need respite for caregivers to take a break from the daily responsibility of caring for their loved one.  Volunteers to assist with programing and provide snacks are always appreciated.       Call 234-3332 for more information. For a list of needed items, click here.

Leap Frog is an after school literacy and enrichment program for first through third grade students enrolled in the Oxford Elementary and Lafayette County public schools. Students meet with individual tutors at St. Peter's Episcopal Church after school Monday through Thursday throughout the semester. Twice a week volunteers from FPC partner with St. Peter's by providing snack for the sixty students enrolled. To signup click here.

If you are new to the program and would like to partner with a former volunteer, contact one of the following who have provided snacks in the past: Patty Abbott, Beth Andrews, Ann DeVoe, Kathy Griffith, Ramey Hardin, Jessica Holder, Corey Mauldin, Marty Mauldin, Catherine Servati, Andy Spaulding, Lisa Tollison and Pattye Wilson.

LovePacks

(lovepacksoxford.com) is an in-school pantry that provides food for 250 children in the Oxford and Lafayette county schools who experience hunger in their homes. For the month of March, chewy granola or protein bars are requested. Your contribution may be left at the church office anytime. Questions? Contact

Carmille Hovious at

662-380-1471.

FPC continues to partner with Doors of Hope Transition Ministries by providing office space and hosting the Step 2 Dinner the second Tuesday of each month. New volunteers to host the meals are encouraged. It's easy! Pick up the prepared meal from Larson's, serve the meal in the fellowship hall, and sit at table with new friends. The following have hosted the dinner previously and would be happy to cohost with you. Contact anyone of them with questions you may have.

For more information about the dinner and to sign up, click here.
