Hello VSC,

We celebrate Women's History Month with gratitude for our founding mothers who had the vision, courage, and wisdom to create services to meet the needs of women.

VSC was founded in 1974 as Women Against Rape by five women who were concerned about the lack of services for victims of rape and sexual assault. Recognizing that men are also victimized by sexual violence, the agency evolved to become Victim Services Center of Montgomery in the 1980s. Now in its 49 year, VSC continues to be a vital safety net and resource to residents of the county and their families who are traumatized by violence.
