God Bless!

REMINDER: If you haven’t hosted fellowship hour, there are dates available, especially during the summer months. Its easy -  just some pastry and a gallon of milk! Everything else is provided. Clip board with sign up sheet available on the refreshment table. Thank you.

GRADUATES:  WE WANT TO KNOW WHO YOU ARE! This is a call to ALL who are High School and College Seniors! We need to have your names, a little write up about yourself (a recent picture, your plans for the future, going on for further education and your involvement here at St. Nicholas) in order to have these names appear in the weekly bulletin. If we do not have your name and this information, you will not be able to be acknowledged as a graduate. Please take the time and give our office a call or better yet, send an e-mail with all the information we are asking.

THREE-WEEK CATECHETICAL CLASS

Fr. George is offering a three-week adult education class entitled “The Apostle Paul in the Greek Cities of the Roman Empire.” It will be a study of Paul’s work in shaping the lives of his fledgling communities as they navigated a host of communal and personal problems. After learning about their lives in the past, we will reflect on our faith in the present. The classes will meet in the Conference Room in the lower level of the Church, and will also be broadcast at the following dates and times via Zoom:

LAST ONE: Wednesday May 31 6:30

Zoom link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82466162026

We will begin at 6:30 sharp, and end at 7:20 sharp each evening. We hope to see you there!

CHOIR MINISTRY – We are reaching out to see who would be interested in starting/joining a new Church Choir. The choir would learn the New Hymnal that was approved from our Archdiocese. If you are interested and want to know more, please contact Charlie Marge at 339-223-4086.

AHEPA – Two St. Nicholas parishioners have taken the pledge and have become members of the Order of Ahepa (Woburn). If any men are interested in joining, please contact Jim Zaharias, Lexington Liason, 781-479-6305

REMINDER: Have you sent in your 2023 Philoptochos Stewardship yet?  Please do so as we continue to support our many charities.  Add your name to the list that is posted on our church bulletin board.  Thank you.

NEWS FROM THE

RENOVATION COMMITTEE

The Renovation committee has been working hard these past few months. We have two sub-committees: Altar Expansion Project and Architecture

The PC recently approved a proposal to go ahead with the Altar Expansion project that includes a budget “to not exceed 30 thousand dollars.” These funds will come out of the Accrual Funds. We would like to complete this project during the summer of 2023. Please look out for informational meetings that will explain the outline of this project. We will present this proposal at the Spring General Assembly in May for parishioner approval of the funds. A summary and draft plan view of the proposed altar extension is available HERE.

The Architecture committee is in the process of interviewing architects for the complete Renovation Project. Look for an announcement about our final choices.

For more information about these projects, please contact Jim Decoulos, Bob DeVasto, Alex Brown, or Bill Brown. For any further questions please ask Carol. We look forward to hearing from you.

Here I go again! Eight years of riding the Pan Mass Challenge and the journey has begun towards my 9th year riding. It’s hard to believe the impact a bike, an open road and a strong will can have towards something so important. Although we have accomplished so much, cancer remains a relentless enemy in our lives.I realize there are endless charitable causes seeking our support I hope you will consider supporting my ride in the Pan Mass Challenge again in 2023.
