MESSAGE FROM KATIE
Dear Friends,
In less than a week the congregation at First United Methodist Church will meet to vote on whether to disaffiliate from the United Methodist Church. Once this choice is made, many more choices and decisions will be before the body at large.
One such choice is whether to hold on to the old wineskins or to turn attention forward to the new wine that God longs to do through the ministry here at this church. And make no mistake, God desires for ministry to continue at this church, regardless of the outcome of the vote.
No matter the results of the vote on disaffiliation, my prayer as your Associate Pastor is for this body; I pray that each and every person who has ever or will ever call this church their home would be a vessel in the world for the Gospel of Jesus Christ, for the glory of the Kingdom.
In Christ,
Katie

MINISTRY SPOTLIGHT OF THE WEEK | |
MISSIONS
BY: Mike Norcom
Share the Blessings is supporting 18 students in Nicaragua with partial college scholarships. These students would likely not be in school without financial help. Bob Jackson invited Mike Norcom and friend Nelson Faircloth to travel with him. The purpose was to gather the students in one place to meet each other, encourage them, worship, and let them enjoy some games and recreation. They were all very loving and grateful and the goals of the trip were met.
