Merced Irrigation District Receives $400,000 in CA Department of Boating Waterways: Boat Launch Facility-Motorized Planning Grant

California Consulting is celebrating a significant win as we helped secure $400,000 from the California Department of Boating and Waterways to support the Merced Irrigation District (MID) Parks and Recreation Department. California Consulting Project Manager Cecily Harris spearheaded the effort.


With her expertise and dedication, Harris played a crucial role in crafting a winning proposal that highlighted the importance of improving boating infrastructure in the region. MID's exceptional and diligent team was outstanding, seamlessly integrating their exceptional vision to elevate the overall quality of the application.

Christine Stanley, a distinguished grant writer with California Consulting, has achieved a remarkable feat by securing $11 million in grants for four California school districts.

US DOJ COPS: Law Enforcement Mental Health and Wellness Act (LEMHWA) Program

Deadline: April 30, 2024

Eligibility: All local, state, territorial, and tribal law enforcement agencies that have primary law enforcement authority 

Amount: There is approximately $9.8 million in funding available through the FY 2024 LEMHWA implementation projects. Each award is two years (24 months) in duration for a maximum of $200,000 per award.

Cal OES: Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP)

Deadline: sub-applications are due June 10

Amount: Project max is unspecified. $150,000 for single jurisdiction plan, $250,000 for multi-jurisdiction plan.

Match: Generally, HMA funds may be used to pay up to 75% of the eligible activity costs. The remaining 25% of eligible activity costs are derived from non-Federal sources

CDE: College and Career Access Pathways Grant

Deadline: March 30th 2024

Amount: Up to $100,000

Eligibility: Local Educational Agencies for 9, 10, 11, 12 Grade

To establish a College and Career Access Pathways (CCAP) dual enrollment partnership agreement that is consistent with the requirements of Section 76004 of the California Education Code and that gives students access to dual enrollment opportunities pursuant to the CCAP partnership agreement.

CA Dept of Education Funding: Specialized Secondary Programs (SSP) Grant 2024-25

Deadline: May 29th, 2024

Amount: Up to $100,000

Match: No

Eligibility: The proposed SSP must be new to the identified school site(s) and will provide students with advanced instruction and training in high technology fields and in the performing arts in grades nine through twelve. All California public high schools, county offices of education, consortium of local educational agencies (LEAs), and direct-funded charter schools are eligible to apply.
