JAHC 2022 Save the Date

and more!
December is a time to celebrate various holidays and take part in winter season activities like skiing and snowboarding. It's a time to reflect on the past year and look ahead to a new one. The Winter Solstice brings with it the changing of the season, and the return of brighter days ahead.

December can also be an overwhelming month for many. Finishing one holiday and moving on to others, people might feel overworked, burdened with responsibility and nervous about upcoming events. The combination of shorter days and the anticipation of a new year can contribute to stress and sleeplessness. The good news is... Homeopathy can help.
We hope the information that follows helps to make December and the winter months even better with homeopathy.

Back Pain and Homeopathy
Don’t let back pain from a winter fall stop you from enjoying the holidays.

Homeopathy can help. Researchers evaluated the effects of individualized homeopathic treatment in patients with chronic low back pain. After analyzing 2 years’ of follow up data, they found both the severity of the diagnoses and complaints and quality of life were improved after using homeopathy. Another perk, use of conventional treatments and pain-related drugs was decreased.

Stress, Well-being, Sleep and Homeopathy
This time of year can be especially stressful, impacting our sleep and well-being. A double blind, randomized clinical trial out of Germany looked at the impact of a homeopathic combination remedy on acute stress response, well-being and sleep.

They found preliminary evidence for beneficial effects of the combination homeopathic remedy on sleep quality which positively correlated with a normalized neuroendocrine stress response during acute stress. The placebo group did not see an improvement in sleep and an altered hormonal response during acute stress was observed.

Remedies to calm the nerves

Feeling nervous about an upcoming holiday party? The idea of parties seems like a lot of fun. But often the crowd, noise and lights can become overwhelming.

Consider a dose of Gelsemium when you feel like you can't handle the situation and the anticipation brings on diarrhea, great weakness, or dullness.

As long as nervousness is a short-lived concern, other top remedies to consider include:

  • Calcarea Carbonica - When feeling overwhelmed with responsibility
  • Magnesium muriaticum - When sensitive to noise
  • Natrum muriaticum - When company makes you feel worse

These are just a few of many possibilities. For more suggestions visit the Materia Medica on the NCH website at the link below:
For longer-term disturbances, consult a professional.
