MESSAGE FROM RICKY
Dear Friends,
I'm grateful for the prayers and thoughts you have shared regarding Megan's dad. We continue to need those prayers, as the family is discerning the next steps. Because of his medical emergency I was unable to be with you in worship this past Sunday, where I would have shared the following information in person.
As part of my ongoing Chaplain training and military service requirement, I will be leaving this weekend for Newport, Rhode Island for the next several weeks.
While I am away, however, we have got a great worship line up planned. As you may be aware, one of our historically Wesleyan schools, Asbury University, experienced an amazing revival over the past few weeks. In the midst of all the challenges and uncertainty, what we all need most is a revival. So, during the season of Lent, we are going to have an extended revival. Every Sunday morning in Lent, preachers will speak to us on the theme: Revive - A Lenten Journey to New Life.
Here's the amazing line-up:
February 26- Rev. Katie Giedd, Assoc. Pastor of Clinton FUMC
March 5- Rev. Dr. Bob Rambo, former Senior Pastor of Clinton FUMC
March 12- Rev. Kaylyn Lindsay, Assoc. Pastor at Cleveland FUMC
March 19- Rev. Smith Lilley, Assoc. Pastor at Tupelo FUMC
March 26- Rev. Susan Eaton, Assoc. Pastor at Parkway Heights UMC
These dynamic preachers are in addition to the great guest speakers we have for Lenten Lunches, which you can see below.
Lent is a time of preparation, a time of reflection, and a time of seeking Jesus. May we all experience the power of his presence and the revival of our souls as we await Resurrection.
Grace and Peace
Ricky
