March 25th, 2022
Dear EAMS Students and Families,
Last week was Wish Week at EAMS, and I am happy to share that everyone’s efforts have culminated in being able to grant Carson’s wish to send him and his family to Discovery Cove! Thank you to our WEB advisors, Senorita Mielke and Ms. Harmeyer, for their organization of the week, thank you to our WEB leaders for running the events, and thank you to the EAMS students and families for participating to make this wish come true.
Wednesday evening, we had the honor of inducting our 2022 National Junior Honor Society members. To be inducted, students needed to successfully complete an application that displayed their strong candidacy in the following areas: scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character. Congratulations on your induction!

This week was Builder’s Club Week at EAMS. Builder’s Club is a service organization sponsored by the local Kiwanis chapter and advised by Mrs. Sperle and Ms. Card. Our Builder’s Club members ran a great week, highlighted by collecting gifts for local nurses and creating thank-you cards.
When we return from Spring Break, EAMS will continue Forward testing on Thursday, April 7th with speaking, listening, and reading components. It is critical that students have their headphones/earbuds for this day, which must be compatible with a Chromebook. As well, our Readiness Lessons for the week will highlight the character trait of Empathy and explore Autism as April is Autism Awareness Month.
As items come up that you have questions or concerns about, please do not hesitate to contact me, have a great spring break!
Sincerely,
Ryan McBurney
Principal

WHEN WERE THEY EVER SO LITTLE?
One of the most memorable moments at the 8th-Grade Moving On Celebration each year is the Student Slide Show. Help celebrate your cutie and how much they've grown! Our goal is for every student to submit one baby/kindergarten picture and one 8th-grade picture. Pictures can be submitted electronically HERE and are due by April 30th. Contact Brenda Johansen with any questions: bjohansen29@gmail.com.
