Artist INC: Not your regular business class

The New Mexico Music Commission announces Professional Development Business Workshops for the music community of the State of New Mexico. These free, nine-hour workshops are broken down over three (3) days and are presented virtually (online) in association with Artist Inc. The workshops will address the unique challenges of the music industry and help musicians learn business skills relevant to their work in order to turn their music practices into sustainable careers.

These Artist INC workshops are tailored for the needs and challenges of working musicians. The three-day ‘deep dive’ will include activities and discussions focused on goal setting, writing about your work, and building a personal brand—building blocks for a sustainable practice and a successful music career. The highly interactive workshops will activate a network of musicians in their community, leading to additional peer-to-peer resource sharing and support long after the workshop concludes.
