Scholar Updates

Leah Bornstein (Class of 2019) – “I am currently going into the second semester of my sophomore year. In my fall semester, I learned a lot more about the medical side of my degree. I also became more involved on campus, taking on a few leadership roles in my sorority. I really enjoyed the classes I took, and I am very excited to learn more during the upcoming spring semester”.

Amirah King (Class of 2022) – “I had a great first semester at Pitt, full of fun and hard work. The nursing program is great and thank you Henderson Foundation and TCF for your help making my dream a reality”.

Sarah Badlis (Class of 2018) – Sarah graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in May 2022 with her BSN. She is currently working at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania as a Neuroscience Registered Nurse!
Katherine Kane (Class of 2019) – “I am wrapping up the fall semester of my senior year of nursing school at Duquesne. This summer I was fortunate to study abroad at Duquesne’s Italian campus in Rome. While I learned a great deal being immersed in a different culture, I also learned about cultural applications in nursing practice and Baroque art through my coursework. I am still working as a PCT on a leukemia floor at UPMC, and in August, I started as an academic preceptor for the School of Nursing where I assist and tutor students with their nursing coursework. I am looking forward to graduating in May and starting as a Registered Nurse once I pass my NCLEX. Thank you, Henderson and TCF again for your support while I work towards my BSN!"
