Did you know making charitable gifts can reduce your taxes? There are tax incentives to making charitable gifts using your investments and retirement plans. By using tax planning strategies, charitable contributions can reduce three kinds of federal taxes: income, capital gains and estate taxes. Not only can you deduct the fair market value of what you give from your income taxes, you can also minimize capital gains tax. Consult with your financial advisor about tax benefits of charitable giving and how you can support the Tallahassee Senior Citizens Foundation.
